What number does the person you call see?

The person you call sees a real phone number, and you pick which one before each call: DialHard's own number (a European one for calls to the EU, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and the UK, a US one elsewhere), your own number once verified, or a number you've bought in DialHard. A callback to DialHard's number reaches nobody; your verified number rings your phone; a bought number rings you in DialHard.

How to set it up Nothing to set up. It's the default. Add it, answer the verification call, and enter the code shown on your screen. Pick a country and a number in the workspace. Some countries ask for an address, an identity document, or both.

How verification works
Your own number

    Add your number

    In the workspace, under Phone numbers, enter it with its country code. It has to be a phone you can answer.

    Your phone rings

    DialHard's carrier calls that number, and a code appears on your screen.

    Enter the code

    Answer and type the code on your phone's keypad. That proves the number is yours.

    Pick it per call

    It joins the dialer's caller-ID picker. A number waiting for verification, or refused, still counts toward your plan's limit.

Calls onlyYour number is caller ID for the calls you make. Calls and texts to it still reach your phone. DialHard doesn't take it over or port it.
Some destinationsYour number goes out over one carrier, and some destinations only another carrier reaches. For those, the dialer says your number can't reach them and offers to call from your DialHard number.
If it lapsesIf your number's verification lapses, the call still goes through, on DialHard's number instead. The dialer doesn't warn you at that moment.
High-risk numbersA number in a high-risk number range, approved one by one before you can call it, goes out only from your own verified number or a number bought in DialHard, never DialHard's number.

Which callbacks reach you
When they call back
DialHard's numberReaches nobody. It's shared, so nothing routes a callback to whoever called last. They hear a busy tone or a not-in-service message.
Your own numberRings your phone, as it always does. DialHard isn't involved.
A number bought hereRings you in DialHard wherever you're signed in, for 45 seconds.
If you don't answerVoicemail picks up if your plan includes it and you've switched it on.

Can I use my existing number?

As caller IDYes, once you've verified it. For calls you make, up to your plan's limit, and some destinations need DialHard's number.
To take calls in DialHardYou can forward it at your own carrier to a number you've bought in DialHard, and it arrives as an ordinary incoming call. Your carrier's forwarding charges and DialHard's incoming minutes apply.
The other way roundA number bought in DialHard can forward its calls to your phone.

Spam labels and pickup
What no number can promise

None of this promises a pickup, or a number that never carries a spam label. Carriers and phone apps apply those labels on their side, and whether someone answers is up to them.

What DialHard controls: every call is dialed by a person, one active call per account, and bulk and auto-dialing aren't allowed. DialHard's numbers are its own, not borrowed or spoofed. Numbers in high-risk number ranges, approved one by one before you can call them, go out only from a number of your own. That keeps a label far less likely. It doesn't rule one out.

Questions
Caller ID

Why did they see a different number than last time?

DialHard's number comes from whichever carrier has the cheapest route to that destination, so a redial can show a different DialHard number. Pick your own number or a bought one when you want the same number every time.

Can I show my mobile number?

Yes, once you've verified it. Verification is a call to that phone, so any number you can answer works.

Can I send texts from my verified number?

No. It's caller ID for your calls. Texts to and from it stay with your phone.

Can they call me back?

On your own number or one bought in DialHard, yes. A callback to DialHard's number reaches nobody.
